Bonjour!
I went to the ortho today to have my blue glue glob shaved down but it didn't happen. (sad face)
My ortho looked in my month and said well we won't be able to remove some of the glue today, you're still biting on the bracket and your tooth hasn't moved enough like I thought it would... Talk about bursting my bubble! lol
So it was really a wasted visit. :( Stuck with the blue glue glob for the next 4 weeks. But maybe, they'll be able to remove some then. My wire on my lower arch will be changed. So that'll be progress. :D
I'm just glad that my tooth has moved some and there's a difference when I brush behind that tooth. It feels a lot cleaner. That's a plus.

Crying? Nope! A little Sore? Yeah..
Hai!
So far, there is only a little soreness and it's really only in the area where the bracket was applied. So there will not be any tears shed and no whiny posts either. :)
My thin, flexible wire is really only working on the newly bracketed tooth. It's trying to wake it up so it can start moving. So I'm ok with that. Any adjustment that will bring me the least amount of discomfort is welcome.
Another good piece of news is, I can chew a bit but it has to be chunks of food. Otherwise, the smaller pieces of food will have to be swallowed whole. Like eating lettuce from a salad was pretty much a no go. Green beans and chunks of chicken, I ate just fine. My stomach definitely thanked me. lol

Week 42, Adjustment 7: Today, I Officially Hate Blue Glue...
Hi!
I had my 7th adjustment today and there was a lot done...
My doors on my brackets would not open and the ortho assistant was tugging and pulling, my teeth started hurting... She finally got them open but mmm... did not feel good. so my ride on the pain train is coming... All Aboard! lol
My last tooth is finally bracketed, added to the arch wire and it has a wire tie on it. (When my tooth moves, they don't want the wire to pop out.) I also went back down to a thin flexible wire on my lowers.
Because of the position that my tooth was in, when the bracketed was added, I bit down and we realized that it was the bracket that I was gnawing on. SO, I now have more blue glue on my right 1st molar. My teeth don't touch at all andI can't chew anything.. :( Back to soft foods :( (Correction: I can chew but it has to be chunks of food)
My lower 2nd molars aren't attached to the archwire either, which feels weird because I'll stick my tongue back there and there's this space where the wire used to be.
I do have to go back next week to have them shave down the glue some.. So that does make me a little happy. Really, the glue won't be there for very long, since my tooth will probably fall in line pretty quickly.
The only thing that the assistant did to my uppers was give me a new powerchain. I was hoping that I'd be done with them but I guess I have to have it for retention purposes.
I did have to have another X-Ray for the right side of my face. I don't know what it was for but they are going to be monitoring something. So I will have to remember to ask when I go back next week.
One cool thing, is Dr. M continued to comment on how great my uppers looked and how they have changed so much. I'm sure on the inside he was patting himself on the back, like wow, I did a great job. *pat, pat* lol.
I didn't like this adjustment too much but I'll get over it. The pain is on it's way and I'll try not to whine too much.
Bye

Week 41: Can't See Anything New in There...
Hi!
So far everything looks the same as last week. So really don't have much to post...
My adjustment is almost here, still not looking forward to it but oh wells. It will be ok...
I did find another use for my floss threader (Don't worry, they weren't used floss threaders.. lol) :D It's good for stringing beads on crochet thread. I couldn't find a needle small enough to string the beads so, I decided to try a floss threader. It works pretty good! Because it's so flexible, the beads slide right down the threader and on to the crochet thread. I was able to complete two sets of crochet beaded earrings for Mother's Day. It was awesome!

Week 40: Working Myself Up Again... Lol..
Hola!
I only have 13 days until my next adjustment and I have kind of worked myself up again... It's not the thing about having my tooth bracketed (even though I believe that it's not going to be pleasant) Since the gap between my two front teeth is completely closed, it has me wondering if my ortho is going to refer me to an oral surgeon to have a frenectomy...
I've tried to look up as much information as I could about the frenectomy and even watched a video of how it's done... (Big mistake) lol but I don't know, I'm still not too excited about it at all...
Before I had my lower wisdom teeth removed, I was freaking out... Even on the day of, when I was hooked up to all the machines, my heart rate was like skyrocketing... lol! Really it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be because I was asleep and just completely out of it...
Anyway, enough of my whining about the frenectomy... On to the progress...
My teeth have felt pretty tight lately and I've even had a couple teeth that have been tender but all in all everything's looking good. The spaces where my upper and lower teeth are actually closing up.. Didn't realize that my upper teeth were being pushed further back.. It's really neat..
The crazy part is I'm really having a hard time remembering what my teeth used to look like.. I have to go back and look at old pictures and I'm like WHOA! Then I compare the old to the current and I'm just stunned pretty much. I know that there's still more to be done but I'm really happy the way everything is looking!
Adios! :)

9 Months and 2 days!
In the time that it takes to have a baby, I have made so much progress with my teeth it's awesome! In 3 months, I will be at a year and then I'll only have a year and half to go.. Not bad. :D
It feels like I just got braces like a month ago.. Boy, how time flies
Bye! :)
