TMJ Issues Are Back.. =[

Hi,

I'm still having problems with my jaw. Whenever I open my mouth wide, like to  yawn, it pops and clicks, and just plain hurts. I'm still working on sleeping on my back but it's a chanllenge for me. So it could still be a combination of rolling over on my stomach and sleeping on my face and my teeth moving around but it's a little frustrating.

I didn't have this problem before braces even though my teeth were really messed up but my jaw was fine. But I wouldn't want to go back to having crooked teeth. It really brought me down and I had low self esteem. Even when my husband looked past the crooked teeth and just saw me for me and loved me anyway, I couldn't see past it. So even though I'm a little frustrated with my developing TMJ issues, I don't regret getting braces at all.

I'll just continue to work on sleeping on my back and hopefully by the time my braces come off and my bite is fixed that my TMJ issues will stop..

We'll see what happens in the year and a half to come. =]

Changes...

Welp, due to conflicts with work scheduling, I had to change my 10th adjustment for October 4th.. I'm not very happy about it at all but there's nothing that I can do about it. That's what happens when you don't have your license and have to depend on someone for a ride.... It really really sucks..

Even though that'll be 3 more weeks.. I wonder how far back I'm prolonging my treatment. Just really frustrating... I'm probably not going to take any new pictures until my 10th adjustment still because I think everything is still going to look the same until my next adjustment.

Week 58: Still the Same!

Hihi!

Everything is still the same.

I'm just going to wait until next week to post pictures since my 10th adjustment is Monday. :)

I'm actually looking forward to this adjustment. I just hope that I'm not getting my hopes up and then they'll be dashed because it's a boring appointment. So we'll see.

I'm also anxious about the cleaning before my adjustment because I'm hoping that I don't have any cavities. *fingers crossed*

Well bye for now!

Comparison Pictures - 1 Year

Howdy!

Ok, I'm finally getting around to posting my 1 year comparison pictures!

Not really liking how my upper right side is raised.
 Makes everything look lopsided lol
But, my teeth look 10x better now!

My upper arch is looking great!
It really has rounded out nicely :D

Lowers still need some work, they are still tipped outward..
But the arch is rounding out really nicely
and not a single tooth is crowded or overlapping the other one! :)

I had stopped taking overjet pictures because my overjet had decreased a significant amount.
I believe once my braces come off, I'll still have a slight overjet but it'll probably only be 1 to 2 mm.

My right side is looking better but still needs some work.

My left side is looking amazing.
Once I start elastics, it'll be perfect.

Omg, so much improvement!! :D

*Overall, I'm very happy with how my teeth look and can't wait to see what new and exciting changes this next year will bring! :D*

Shaping

I was wrong in one of my previous posts. I love how straight my teeth are, they look really good but I really do need some shaping done. My left central is longer than the right one. Plus, my right central is chipped. Some of my other teeth are a bit worn down. At one point, I was thinking that I was developing a cant on my lowers but after really looking in the mirror, some of my lower teeth are just longer than the others.
So yeah, hopefully I'll have some shaping in my future not only that but a gingivectomy to get rid of my gummy smile. I think at this point, the frenectomy and gingivectomy scares me more than elastics do but of course that's a totally different level. lol

*Also, working on 1 year comparison pictures, will have them up very soon!*

Week 57: 13 Months =]

Hi!

I'm a little late as far as posting this but better late than never. :p

I've made it to 13 months which actually surprises me. I was thinking that it would take forever just to get to a year and it's already flown by. When I actually say that I only have 17 more months to go, it really doesn't seem so far away. My teeth have really changed for the better and I know that they're just going to keep getting better.

I don't really have any updates on my teeth, everything has been normal. I'm just starting to wonder if this next appointment will indeed involve elastics. I'm a little excited about it, because that means my teeth are going to be on the move again. It definitely helps that I don't know for sure what's going to happen, then i'm not freaking out on the adjustment day. lol.

Ta ta for now!

*Pics coming soon* Did it again.. No pics for this week. Sorry
